National Open Art Prize Winner

BEAF exhibitor Lisa Lewis has won National Open Art Prize, South West.

Lisa Lewis’ work, Nightscape (Electric Blue) was recently selected from more than 4,000 entries for the National Open Art (NOA) Competition Sponsored by Towry. The exhibition is now running at the Royal College of Art in South Kensington until the 2nd November 2015.

She has been awarded the NOA prize for best work in the South West Region. Her atmospheric landscape, ‘Nightscape (Electric Blue)’ is based on the Jurassic coast at night.

Ronnie Woods, artist and musician (Rolling Stones) is the Patron for the prestigious competition and this year’s discerning line-up of judges includes Hughie O’Donohgue RA (Artist) David Lister (Founder member of the Indpendent newspaper), Rebecca Hossack (Gallery Owner, writer and lecturer), Vanessa Branson (President and Founder for North Africa’s trilingual arts festival and Richard Branson’s sister) & Amanda Harman (Photographer and Educator).

After the exhibition at the Royal College, her work will tour to the Harrogate International Art Expo (20-22 Nov 2015) and then onto the Pallant House Gallery in Chichester (1-13 Dec 2015).

Lisa is exhibiting her work in a B E AF event, titled ‘Beauty in Imperfection’ currently at the Lighthouse in Poole, till 1 November 2015.
